General Aviation Lifestyle
You can go places, see things and have experiences that many people never know even exist, in your personal airplane.
Aviation Lifestyle
The general aviation lifestyle is attainable and enjoyable. Begin your aviation lifestyle here. Some people enjoy the lifestyle of being on a farm, focusing on fitness, or spending time in the great outdoors. Others enjoy the aviation lifestyle of flying to chosen destinations, with what you want to take, and who you want to travel with.
Locations to suit your lifestyle
Rather than taking a car, a plane can go all the same places and much more, in less time. A general aviation lifestyle gives you the ability to go to thousands of airports, not just those serviced by the major airlines and the regional carriers.
The general aviation lifestyle allows you to travel to places not easily accessible by land or sea, as well as land on runways that will not accommodate a jet or airliner.
Enjoy adventure and uncommon destinations? Travel to islands with only a runway, not even a marina. Experience setting down in the middle of a valley only accessible by horse, mule, or donkey. Sail across the top of the water as you pull up to a seaplane base or just moor off the coast. Encounter the view of a frozen tundra, setting down with skis on a bed of snow.
Have a free afternoon? Consider the ability to have lunch in a city four hours away by car and make the entire round trip, including lunch, in four hours. Discover your local surroundings and view the landscape with a bird’s eye view.
Want something simple? Fly to the next airport over to enjoy a burger. Take to the skies, enjoy the horizon and the simple joy of flying.
Based on the locations that suit your personal preference and goals, you can visit any destination you choose. The general aviation lifestyle allows you to go when you want and where you want.
Ease of Travel
You decide where and when you want to travel. The general aviation lifestyle allows you to drive right up to the plane. There is no requirement to get to the airport two hours before departure. Another advantage is there is no waiting, well except occasionally for the fuel truck. There is no standing at the video screen, watching for a delay or cancellation.
The stress of travel is limited. There is no standing in line to get through security, taking off your shoes, and emptying your pockets. There is no one with a badge and rubber gloves checking how many ounces of shampoo are in the container or if you have a bottle of water.
The majority of the restrictions are removed through general aviation. There is no extra charge based on the size of your bag. There is no standing at the baggage carousel, staring in confusion, wondering if the bag that just went by is yours or if your bag will even end up at your destination.
The anxiety of a long road trip is removed. There are no traffic jams, with hours spent waiting to move a mile. No blaring horns and red lights to sit through multiple times. There are no drivers with road rage or drivers that do not meet the minimum speed limit. Once you step out of the car at the plane, all of that ends.
The general aviation lifestyle allows you to board the plane knowing your items are aboard, with a drink and the snack of your choice in hand. You arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy the destination, rather than needing to recover from travel.
No sharing required
One of the greatest advantages of the general aviation lifestyle is traveling with who you want to travel with. Your seat is your seat, and you get to choose who you sit beside.
Your knees are not at risk of having the seat in front of you crush them. No one expands over into your seat (except for the friend that falls asleep on your shoulder). You can breathe without worrying about the person in 12B coughing uncontrollably.
There are no screaming babies unless they are your own or you invited them. (In our case it is complaining teenagers, as they recently grew out of the screaming baby phase.)
There are no crowds, no lines, no pushing and no shoving to board. You are saved from the feeling of being a sardine, packed into a can.
There is no wishing there was an empty seat while holding your bags and balancing between train stops. You do not have to make stops along the way for other people unless you decide you want to.
The general aviation lifestyle allows you to completely avoid mass transit. You trip, your space, no sharing required.
