General Aviation Travel
A mile of road takes you one mile. A mile of runway can take you anywhere.
Aviation Travel
There are so many advantages to general aviation travel. Follow us in our Cub, Seneca, Mooney, or whatever plane we happen to be flying, based on where we are going. We choose our plane based on our destination. Where do you want to go? General aviation travel let you go where ever you want to go, as long as your plane can meet the mission.
General Aviation Destinations
We both were missing a sense of adventure, but we found it together, with my boys. Where has our love of the lifestyle of general aviation travel taken us?
A few of my favorite overwater travel spots are:
- Long Island
- Crooked Island
- Black Point
- Eleuthera
- Cat Island
Our travels have taken us to many more islands, some of which we have visited multiple times.
Some of my favorites domestic stops are:
- Wisconsin (Oshkosh for EAA Air Venture)
- Nevada (Reno Air Races)
- Florida Keys
- Kentucky (every girl needs an away Gamecock football game and horse races)
- Louisiana (a carriage ride with a ghost on my lap – seriously!)
- New York (Old Reinbeck Aerodrome is a step back in time)
- North Carolina (Kitty Hawk)
- Texas
- New Mexico (Albuquerque Balloon Festival)
These are just a few of the places we land, plus we have a bucket list several pages long.
We also love the small airstrips for a good fly-in or a hundred-dollar hamburger. If you are a pilot, you understand the hundred-dollar hamburger.
We travel while maintaining his career in Florida, my career in South Carolina, and two boys in school.
Yes, life is an adventure. I love being the #rightseatpilot and the lifestyle of general aviation travel.
If you have suggestions on where we need to go, send us a message.
